Wabbajack Modlist · Cyberpunk 2077

Night City doesn't respect you. It doesn't see you as anybody.
Survival is not a right, it's a privilege. Earn your place.

Important

  • PunkCity is built for Cyberpunk 2077 2.31.
  • Phantom Liberty DLC is Mandatory
  • This list is currently in active development. Expect additions and changes between versions.

Warning

Always launch the game through Mod Organizer 2. Launching through Steam directly will bypass the mod setup and break the list.

About the List

PunkCity is a Wabbajack modlist for Cyberpunk 2077 built around one idea: the city owes you nothing.

Most playthroughs let you become a legend overnight. PunkCity pushes back. Your body has needs. Your reputation has weight. The story won't drag you along, it waits for you to earn the right to be part of it. The city is indifferent, the streets are dangerous, and every cold decision you make will follow you.

This is no power fantasy. You'll suffer, and you'll be content.

What You're Getting Into

  • Survival mechanics that make your body a resource you have to manage
  • A paced experience that rewards immersion over rushing
  • True reputation system where senseless violence has real costs
  • More systems being added — check back as the list develops

Character Creation

The list gives strong emphasis to Character Creation freedom. It utilizes EBBRB as the body mod for Female V and Atlas for Male V.

Valerie has at least 5–20× more accessories, hairs, and clothes than Vincent. Unfortunately modders favor feminine body mods — nothing I can do about it.
Total Mods ~1,000
Without Cosmetics ~600

A Note from the Author

This is my first modlist. I am primarily a Skyrim modder (5 years), however I became so fixated with Cyberpunk 2077 that I released a list for it before my favourite fantasy game.

I did my best but the list is far from perfect. If you find bugs or bad clipping, please let me know. I plan to use user experiences as the basis for whether something is performing well or poorly — the gameplay is refined, but the cosmetics may not be. Please bear with me.

PunkCity is an unofficial Wabbajack modlist and is not affiliated with CD Projekt Red.

Full credit goes to the original mod authors.

Choose the method that applies to you. Both paths end at the same place — pick whichever is available.

When to use this?

Use this method if the Wabbajack gallery listing isn't live yet, or if you prefer to download the .wabbajack file manually from the Nexus page.

  1. Download Wabbajack and place it somewhere outside your Cyberpunk folder and outside Program Files.

    Example: D:\Wabbajack
  2. Go to the PunkCity Nexus Mods page and download the main file, it contains .wabbajack to install file manually. Save it anywhere convenient.

  3. Launch Wabbajack. Navigate to Browse Modlists, on the top right click Install from Disk.

    Install from Disk Instruction
  4. In the file picker, navigate to and select the PunkCity.wabbajack file you just downloaded.

  5. Set your install paths:

    Installation: D:\Modlists\PunkCity
    Downloads: D:\Modlists\downloads

    Path Rules

Both paths must be on the same drive as your Cyberpunk install, and not inside the game directory or Program Files.

  6. Click Install and let Wabbajack handle the rest.

  7. Once complete, open your install folder and launch ModOrganizer.exe.

  8. Confirm the active profile is set to PunkCity, then click Run.

Antivirus

Antivirus Warning

Third-party antivirus software (BitDefender, Norton, Webroot, etc.) can interfere with MO2's Virtual File System. If you're experiencing issues, you may need to disable or remove it.

Windows Defender with sensible browsing habits is sufficient.

If you're using Windows Defender, add your PunkCity install folder as an exclusion:

How to Add a Windows Defender Exclusion
  1. Open Windows Security
  2. Go to Virus & threat protection
  3. Click Manage settings
  4. Scroll to ExclusionsAdd or remove exclusions
  5. Add your PunkCity installation folder
  6. Optionally also exclude PunkCity.exe and Cyberpunk2077.exe

Overlays

Disable all overlays before launching:

  • Steam overlay
  • Discord overlay
  • GPU software overlay (GeForce Experience, Radeon Overlay)
  • Xbox Game Bar

PunkCity — Cyberpunk 2077 Modlist

These systems define how PunkCity plays. They're designed to work together, removing major components will change the intended experience.

Core · Surival

Dark Future

The backbone of PunkCity's survival systems. Chrome won't save you from burnout.

  • Eat, drink, and sleep to stay functional
  • Manage your Nerve meter
  • Nerve drains faster during combat
  • Low Nerve causes escalating debuffs
  • Some quests lock your Nerve meter, forcing you through bad situations

Core · Street Cred

Take a Breather

Night City expects you to earn your place. Your Street Cred now gates major services and opportunities.

  • Ripperdocs
  • Clubs
  • Apartments
  • Other city services

Main jobs and side quests are paced more naturally. Calls and texts take time, giving you space to explore and actually live in Night City.

Core · Consequences

Pariah

Violence has consequences. Build respect or become someone Night City fears.

  • Witnessed civilian deaths hurt your reputation
  • Executions carry heavier penalties
  • Civilians may panic
  • Police can become immediately hostile
View on Nexus Mods →

Combat in PunkCity is slower, harsher, and far less forgiving. Enemies think better, healing is limited, and netrunning requires actual planning.

Combat · AI

Combat Evolved

Every faction fights differently. A random gang shootout can spiral into a tactical nightmare.

  • 15 factions with unique combat behaviors
  • Real ballistic hit calculations
  • Ablatable armor system
  • Enemy morale and panic mechanics
  • Aggressive enemy pursuit
View on Nexus Mods →
Combat · Hacking

Much Better Netrunning

Quickhacking now requires physical access and proper infiltration.

  • Breach networks to unlock hacks
  • Enemy netrunners fight back with ICE
  • Bosses require protocol matching
  • No ping abuse
  • Range scales with skill progression
View on Nexus Mods →
Combat · Healing

Immersive Healing

Healing items are finite resources again.

  • Consumable healing items
  • No cooldown healing
  • No medicine crafting
  • Inventory weight limits
  • Blood Pump emergency healing
View on Nexus Mods →

Chrome is powerful, but no longer consequence-free. Your implants break, vendors specialize, and reaching full borg status takes actual investment.

Cyberware · Economy

Ripperdoc Specializations

Ripperdocs are specialists now, not one-stop cyberware supermarkets.

  • Each ripper sells only specific implant categories
  • Modded cyberware is sorted properly
  • Iconic implants are tied to specific vendors
  • Previously unavailable Iconics are restored
  • Specializations appear on your map

General practitioners don't exist in Night City anymore.

View on Nexus Mods →
Cyberware · Durability

Shattered Chrome

Yikes, cheap chromes choom?

  • Cyberware health across 10 body regions
  • Damage degrades implant integrity
  • Higher-tier implants last longer
  • Broken implants become unusable
  • Physical penalties from damaged chrome

Repair at ripperdocs or survive long enough to heal naturally.

View on Nexus Mods →
Cyberware · Expansions

Cyberware-EX

Push your body beyond vanilla implant limits.

  • Unlock extra slots through perks
  • Equip multiple implants per category
  • Run multiple operating systems
  • Combine jump mods and arm weapons
  • Requires real build investment

It's your time to be the ultimate cyberpsycho.

PunkCity — Cyberpunk 2077 Modlist

This section contains the issues that I am aware of and will try to fix. However there are cases that its an engine issue and I cannot do anything about it.

  1. Random Crashes!!!!

Please try to clear the cache by going into Overwrite and deleting the contents of r6/cache
then, do the same for PunkCity Settings

  2. Can't shoot through modded car's windows but shooting at the windshield works

Some modded vehicles are basically a remodeled Caliburn. The Rayfield Caliburn's windows are impenetrable but are shootable at the windshield, hence the behavior.

  3. Bald V / Glitchy shadows

This is a problem with both CDPR's lazy animation and Mod Authors not pulling a shadow mesh in their hair mods. If you encounter this with Cyberware from character creation, it might be bad mesh, let me know if you encounter it anywhere else.

  4. Enemy HP Bar gets bigger when they're healing

This is because of Combat Evolved, I have reported the issue to the author
